Challengers vs. KCC

Challengers and Kigali Cricket Club will renew their rivalry when they face off in today’s RCA league final at Kicukiro oval.

Challengers who enjoyed a good run last year after lifting two trophies; the RCA League and the prestigious Sulfo league will be chasing for their second successive RCA league title.

However Challengers’ captain Srinath Vardhineni expects a stunning test from the four-time Sulfo league champions (KCC).

"They have some good lads in their team so I expect a thrilling contest in the final,” Vardhineni who has been instrumental in Challengers’ success over the years said.

KCC on the other hand will have to cope without their star bowler Jasat Mohammed.
Mohammed who also missed the club’s group games against Right Guards and Indorwa is away (India) on holiday.

Meanwhile, the national cricket team will convene this afternoon as it continues its preparations ahead of next month’s ICC Division 3 World Cricket League/ World Cup Qualifiers that will be held in South Africa.
