Editor,

I read with deep interest a story in yesterday’s issue of The New Times that British travellers are increasingly choosing to visit to Rwanda because it offers exciting holiday bargains.

This is very encouraging news to all Rwandans and it gives officials from the Rwanda Development Board RDB-Tourism & Conservation a reason to work even harder as they prepare for a flood of tourists.

If we nurture this very important sector, this would attract more investors  and create more job opportunities for Rwandans.

I am certain Rwanda is marching towards achieving Vision 2020.

A friend from the UK recently told me that Rwanda offers affordable deals that you can’t find else where. She added that tourists visiting Rwanda are likely to double in the near future. The onus is now on the hospitality industry to keep it up.
