Salon Essentials deserves more attention than it has since received. The 12 year old beauty parlour located at the MTN Centre, Nyarutarama, offers all the most popular treatments, from facials to massages, and is kitted out with all the latest beauty equipment.

The galvanic facial machine is used to remove black heads, wrinkles and spots. Quincy Mwega trained as a cosmetologist in Nairobi. He explains that he does face lifts for the ageing and get slim courses.

"If you want to lose a tummy, I treat you and after one month you look different. After this period I show you the variation in weight and size,” said Quincy.

He takes measurements of one’s waist before the treatment and at different stages during the process. He begins the procedure by wrapping the area under treatment after applying an ice cold sliming preparation gel, a product that burns the fat underneath.

Quincy also offers breast lifts and permanent lipstick and eyebrows. For those need to unwind reflexology, massage of the feet, is another of his specialties.

The proprietor, Saudah Nalule, explains: "At essentials we use quality products and provide the best service in Kigali”.
