The Ministry of Health’sintensive campaign to ensure that all Rwandans get mosquito nets is bearing fruit.According to the latest global figures, malaria deaths in Rwanda have dropped by 70 % between 2005 and 2010.

I work for a health center and the number of patients who came for treatment to bout malaria has gone since the indoor spraying programme and the distribution of nets.

There are so many myths about mosquito nets and I have read that some people in rural areas use the nets forfishing.

However, from my experience, I have noticed that through continued sensitization, the myths can be done away with and the nets put to their full use.
