MY CONQUERING FLAME
Cease the moment
And smile;
Never forgetting
At least to try
You may wonder why the tide is high,
But please,
Now is not the time.

Yesterday had its pace,
Today has a load of grace,
Tomorrow is part of the race
So please,
Let your heart find rest.

It should be sometimes dark
But your faith, it sets the mark
The feeling may bite like a shark
Or may charge at you
Like a dog and its bark
But choose to stand with desire
Even through mud and mire
 Your conquering flame,
It begins with a spark.

In this hour, as I prepare for the gloom
Like a flower, I’ve got to bloom!
I’ve got the power; I shouldn’t say I’m doomed
No, no thank you, today I must choose.
Say what you may, I’ve got nothing to lose
Love, peace, hope, they’re my diamond shower
Though weak and feeble,
I’ve got the stomach of a king
Persistent and proud, I’ll spread my eagle’s wing
Peaceful and passionate, my song I’ll sing
Meek yet majestic, I’ll battle till I win
Yes. Today, I choose not to lose!
