ADEPR youth conference opens in Muhanga

MUHANGA- The youth of the Association of Pentecostal Churches in Rwanda (ADEPR), have been urged to utilize their age profitably so as to contribute to national growth and development. The call was made by Pastor Laurien Nsenginyumva, Gitarama Regional ADEPR church leader, while addressing over 2000 youth during the opening ceremony of a youth conference held at Nyabisindu church, this Thursday.

MUHANGA- The youth of the Association of Pentecostal Churches in Rwanda (ADEPR), have been urged to utilize their age profitably so as to contribute to national growth and development.

The call was made by Pastor Laurien Nsenginyumva, Gitarama Regional ADEPR church leader, while addressing over 2000 youth during the opening ceremony of a youth conference held at Nyabisindu church, this Thursday.

The three-day conference held in Gitarama, is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and behavioral change. It attracted youths from Muhanga, Ruhango and Kamonyi Districts.

”The church wants to empower the youth through behavior change in the mind and spiritually. With this goal, the youth can contribute to Church and national growth" Pastor Nsenginyumva said. 

Léandre Hategekimana, the youth representative, said that the two-day encounter will promote youth creativity and sharing of various spiritual, socio-economic and developmental aspects.

"The youth need to constantly educate each other on ways of contributing significantly to our society because we are young and vital to the future of this country," Hategekimana stated.

The participants also held a music festival where many of them displayed talent and the need to build the church and nation.
