Early during the week I attended the trade fair show at the Gikondo grounds and I was very impressed by what I saw.

Different companies and business owners were all there to showcase their products and services. Like any other person who attended the exhibition, what pulled me towards some of these stands is the display.

I was only attracted to the stands which had outstanding displays which my roving eyes caught.
I was impressed to see new companies displaying their goods and services, but I was even more impressed to see some of our local companies which have been displaying their products and services for years, and have improved tremendously.

Trade exhibitions and promotional displays are great for businesses needing to boost more traffic. Continually promoting your products and services every year in the exhibitions is a great way to ingrain into consumers’ heads about your business.

After seeing a company’s logo a few times, the name and brand is mentally locked inside the consumer’s mind and it starts to create a trend. Repeated exposure will generate a familiarity of a brand, logo, or product.

For example most of the stands I attended were for companies which I have been seeing for many years, so I went in to inquire about any new product or services that they were now offering, and I was not disappointed.
In a trade show, consumers are overwhelmed with so many different companies and information given that it’s hard for them to remember every little thing.

Having a little of something different could set your company apart from the competition. For example if your display booth has a lighted banner stand, clear messages of your company’s mission and you have free samples or brochures to hand out – this can go a long way into reminding someone something about your company.

Also adding more freebies will add your business to the top of consumer’s memory list, trade show goers are less inclined to throw a freebie out than they would a piece of paper. Businesses smart enough to hop on the trade show bandwagon and use these tactics usually see results.

Trade exhibitions are very important to the strategic growth and vitality of a company. Those who capitalize on such attention are in a position to stay at the forefront of the industry and maintain a transparency and a dialogue with the consumers that would not otherwise be possible.

No matter what industry your company is in, it’s important to be represented by the industry, and exhibitions allow for this in the best way possible.
