RWANDA Cricket Association (RCA) is on the verge of sending two female cricketers to take part in a three-week course at the Elite Cricket Academy in Johannesburg-South Africa.
RCA boss Charles Haba is optimistic the high performance center will help Sonia Uwimana and Veronica Byukusenge in their bid to turn pro.
"It is the best learning center on the continent for cricketers who want to turn pro so we hope that they will benefit immensely from the program,” Haba said.
Uwimana, 20, plays for Right guards while Byukusenge features for Kigali combined.
Meanwhile, Rwandan cricket has been boosted with a new wicket surface courtesy of Africa Cricket Association (ACA).
