FOR seven weeks, viewers have followed the Tusker All Stars journey during the weekly Tusker All Stars TV shows aired every Sunday in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and in Rwanda on Monday.

The rehearsals are in high gear as the eight stars prepare for the grand finale to be aired on August 14.

The Top 3 Tusker All Stars viewers have selected to perform at the Tusker All Stars concert will be announced during the grand finale show by the TV show hosts, Gaetano Kagwa and Eve D’Souza.

For the seventh week running, the top three slots on the Tusker All Stars chart have remained unchanged. Alpha continues to hold on to first place with Davis and Msechu closely following him.

During the seventh TV show that aired last weekend, all the eight contestants performed their own compositions.

The Tusker All Stars Series Music Director, Victor Seii joined the Tusker All Star girls as they sang background vocals for Alpha’s "Mama”. The young Rwandese sang the song dedicated to mothers all over Africa and he pulled off the Swahili lyrics beautifully as a testament to his versatility as a performer.

Up next was Caroline, singing her own composition, "Njakubera Naawe” – I would be with you always. The pearl of Uganda serenaded the Villagers’ band members one by one and moved right along to serenade the viewers with her smooth lyrics.

Ngangalito was next on stage with his song, "Mama” with Tim Rimbui and ‘Ma3’ backing him up quite well with a reggae beat. The song was meaningful as Ng’ang’a brought more to the stage with this composition.

The young Kenyan songbird, Patricia was up next with her own piece of music titled, "Ngoma”. She started off slowly atop a box on stage but picked up tempo when she let it go as the backup vocalists joined in the infectious dancing.

Msechu, the Tanzanian funny man did his own composition, "Njoo”. Ever the patriot, Msechu turned out with a scarf bearing the Tanzanian flag’s colours. He unleashed a mastery of vocal skill even as he managed to work up the crowd with his upbeat and catchy number.

Dancing queen, Amileena was next on stage with a forties inspired song entitled, "I want it all”. The beat was a great accompaniment to the young lady’s voice.

Tusker Project Fame season’s 4 winner, Davis performed his own master piece” Yegwe”. His silky vocals flowed well and the tempo matched his delivery. Picking up the pace, the background vocalists kept up with him in the dips and highs.

Mr. Swag himself, Hemedy was next on stage with his own composition entitled, "Brown Colour”. He was accompanied but not one, but three of his trademark umbrellas and the solitary black glove.

Viewers can vote for their favourite artiste by sending a text message with the star’s Tusker number to 8009 for persons in Kenya and Uganda. Viewers in Rwanda can vote by sending a text message with the star’s Tusker number to 7333 while for those in Tanzania the number is 15324. SMS voting lines will close today at 5pm.
