RAYON Sport coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira has ended the long standing speculation about his future after agreeing a one-year-deal.
The 38-year-old, who is expected to put pen to paper on Monday, yesterday told Times Sport that he signed because the future looks bright at the club.
"After detailed talks with the club’s top management, I decided to sign because I was impressed with the club’s vision,” the former APR and Atraco coach said.
Ntagwabira joined the blues towards the end of last season on a three-month contract but could not stop the club from finishing 6th in the Primus League.
However, in the on-going transfer window, Rayon have shown that they are ready to fight for the league title after signing the Burundian duo of Fawd Ndayisenga and Mbanza Hussein, veteran striker Saidi Abed Makasi and the Etincelles pair of Idi Nshimiyimana and Eric Tuyishimire.
The blues have also agreed terms with former striker Bokota Labama and are currently monitoring the URA duo of Farouk Osama and Tom Okello.
Ntagwabira is bidding to become the first coach to win the league title with three different clubs.
The blues coach has already won titles with APR and Atraco.
