In addition to two Ugandan internationals, Atraco Fc has set eyes on several more foreign players to boost their title hopes.

The national league leaders have already admitted interest in Ugandan Cranes stars Dan Wagaluka and Hamisi Kitagenda.

The duo is currently playing their club football for Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), a club that has dominated Ugandan football in the last two, three seasons.

According to Atraco powerful vice president, Issa Ngenzi, talks between the two clubs about the transfer of the duo, are in the later stages.

"We’re still talking to URA but at the moment, I can not say whether there’ll be any kind of deal or not,” Ngenzi told Times Sport by telephone yesterday.

But when I asked him whether the pair would be here in time for the start of the league second round on Saturday, his response answer wasn’t as forthcoming as coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira had earlier put it.

He said, "Whether they will be here by that time or not, I’m not sure, but one thing that is certain is that we’re talking to them and their club”.

Earlier in the week, Capt. Ntagwabira confirmed how they had already held talks with the two Ugandan internationals and that the duo had agreed (in principle) to make the move.
The league leaders are hopeful about landing the experienced stars who made their breakthrough in Ugandan club football with both SC Villa (Wagaluka) and Kampala City Council, (KCC) for Kitagenda.

Ngenzi, despite not being so generous with his response(s), he managed to disclose how his club is not only targeting the Cranes duo but also several other regional players.
"We’ve a list of players we want to sign and for some time now, we have been in discussions with them and their (respective) clubs.
