Uganda’s self-proclaimed President of the President of the Ghetto Republic Of Uganja Bobi Wine will today lead a host of local and regional artistes during a concert at Kigali’s Sports View Hotel,.

The show starts at 6pm until midnight, with each ticket costing Rwf5,000. After the concert, the after party will be held at Planet club KBC, where fans will have a chance to meet and greet the stars.

The controversial singer, famous for a number of tracks like "Kiwani”, "Mazi Mawanvu” and "Mr. Kataala” will headline alongside Nubian Li, a renowned Ugandan artiste.

Local artistes Knowles, Kamichi, Just Family, Uncle Austin and the Urban Boyz, who were recently eliminated from the Primus Guma Guma Superstar competition, are also expected to perform.

Eric Mugisha, the Managing Director of Seasons Film told The New Times that the concert was organsied in partnership with Urban African Media Magazine, to promote local musicians.

"In a bid to promote Rwanda’s music industry, Seasons Film in collaboration with Urban African Media Magazine will be bringing seasoned regional musicians to perform with local artistes,” Mugisha said.
