Churches’ reputation should be beyond reproach
Editor, Hideous things have happened in churches including embezzlement and infighting over the ownership of some churches. This is not a uniquely Rwandan phenomenon. It is global. I have read reports in the past where some clerics end up in court for mismanagement of funds. I was therefore not shocked when I read a story in The NewTimes, this week, that the association of Pentecostal Churches in Rwanda (ADEPR) is faced with Genocide ideology and intrigue that is threatening to tear the church a part.

Editor,
Hideous things have happened in churches including embezzlement and infighting over the ownership of some churches.
This is the right time for church leaders to come together and rebuild their image. It’s not too late. Covering up problems will not give a lasting solution but alienate followers from the church leaders.
