Grizzlies coach Alphonse Umugire has challenged his side to capitalize on home advantage and win some silverware by snatching up the Grizzlies 7s tournament slated for August 7.

The Huye based side is currently in 4th position in the Inyange rugby league with one round of matches before the league winds up.

Although Umugire admits Power house Buffaloes are hot favourities to win the one day event, he is backing his side to spring up a surprise.

"We will not dwell much on Buffaloes’ accomplishments. I want my team to believe in their own capacity to beat the rugby side in the country. The club has great fans, who I believe will back the team,” Umugire said.

Muhanga, Tumba College, Buffaloes, Gorillas, Lion de fer, Puma Sharks Hosts Grizzlies and a Guest team from Burundi called Rumuli will take part in the tournament.

Umugire also told Times Sport that he is sourcing for sponsorship to organize a successful tourney.

"We are looking for sponsorship to have a good tournament,” the Grizzlies coach cried out to potential sponsors.
