Editor,
I wish to laud the two Rwandan tea companies, Gisovu and Kitabi, which emerged among the best continental brands in the just concluded tea conference and exhibition organised by the African Tea Association.
I believe that Rwandan tea can compete and find a market not only in Africa but internationally too. Many friends from Europe have been telling me that Rwandan tea is among the world’s finest.
I would like to encourage more farmers not only to grow tea but also continue to maintain quality. That way they will continue to reap big.
Like Agriculture Minister Dr Agnes Kalibata, put it, the success of the two tea companies is indeed a result of the immense efforts that government has put in place to ensure farmers produce quality tea.
