RUTSIRO - Over 50 companies turned out to exhibit their products at a two-day show organised by the Joint Development Forum in Rutsiro District this week.
"We exhibited agriculture and livestock and tourism products. We hope it will have a positive impact on the residents of Rutsiro,” said Jonathan Bibarimana, the Executive Secretary of the Joint Development Forum.
Bibarimana said the event offered an opportunity to explain to the locals about government programs such as medical insurance, terracing and the use of fertilisers.
The companies acknowledged that the exhibition brings them closer to their customers.
"We will understand what the residents think about our services or products then we can improve or adjust accordingly,” said Faustin Gashakamba, from the Great Ape Trust Gishwati area conservation program.
The event also served as an Open Day for the district during which residents sought explanation on what products and services were available at the district.
