The Queens, a music group of two lasses, has split up due to personal reasons.

Queen Nedeje and Queen Grace had enjoyed a one year working relationship, and had released quite a number of songs including; "Rya jambo”, a track which launched the group on Rwanda’s music scene.

Queen Grace, who has since changed her name to The Queen, said the group had no future since the two had different talents.

"After my partner decided to concentrate only R&B, we decided to separate because I prefer Hip-hop,” The Queen said.

However, in an interview with The New Times, Queen Nedeje dismissed the allegations, noting that the separation was instead based on constant disagreements.

"We reached a point when we could not work together any longer, because we could disagree on very many things,” Nedeje said.

She added that she is currently working with Assia, another upcoming artiste.
