Ugandan artiste Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi, famous for his stage name H.E Bobi Wine, is expected to perform in Kigali on July 29.

The 2006 PAM Awards Best Artiste will headline alongside his countryman Nubian Li, and some local artistes.

According to one of the concert’s organisers, Eric Mugisha, Bob’s coming is aimed at creating an opportunity for Rwandan artistes to collaborate with regional music greats.

"Our aim is to improve and develop our music industry. Every artiste who would be coming to Rwanda will record a song with some of the musicians, in order to boost their career,” he said.

The monthly project is owned by Season Films and Urban African Media Magazine.

Mugisha noted that the Season film would shoot the collaboration freely, to support potential upcoming artiste develop their career.

The concert will be held at Sports View Hotel and the after party at Planet club - KBC.

The self-appointed Ghetto President is one of Uganda’s most recognized and successful artistes. 

Bobi Wine shot to fame in the early 2000, after the release of his tracks "Akagoma” and "Sunda”.

The former a member of the Fire Base Crew, Bobi is now the boss of the Ghetto Republic of Uganja.
