Allow me through your newspaper to commend the students of Sonrise High School under the ‘We are One’ club for raising funds to offset transport fare for their poor colleagues at the close of the school term.

This generosity should be a norm. I wish to appeal to other students to borrow a leaf from Sonrise students.

By helping poor students, we are essentially sending a clear message to them that they are part and parcel of us and mean a lot to society. I am a religious person and the Bible tells us to love one other.
