I read with keen interest your article in yesterday’s issue of The New Times titled:  "Hospitality sector tops 2nd quarter investments.” 

This is very encouraging news. The fast growing hospitality industry may bolster Rwanda’s goal to be a Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) hub within the region.

We must applaud local investors like Zulfat Mukarubega, owner and legal representative of Rwanda Tourism University College (RTUC) as well as dedicated individuals like Elizabeth Dearborn Davis, Co-Founder and CEO, Akilah Institute for Women who have played a key role in this fast growing industry.

RTUC and the Akilah Institute both focus on developing Rwanda’s leaders of tomorrow in the exciting hospitality industry and it is their initiative which will encourage international hotel chains to seriously look into further investments in Rwanda, fully knowing that the country has an adequate and well-trained workforce to support their investments.     

Such rapid development would not have been possible without the active and on-going support of the Rwanda Development Board and other Government agencies that, together, ensure that investments in Rwanda offer adequate returns and also a deep sense of satisfaction among all stakeholders.
