Monrovia mayor right on our model city

Editor, I concur with Mary T. Broh, the mayor of Monrovia, the Liberian Capital, who remarked on Tuesday this week that Kigali City is a model city in Africa. The work undertaken by the Kigali City Council (KCC) towards developing our city is praiseworthy. KCC and the ministry of transport have, for instance, overhauled all major junctions and replaced them with roundabouts, something that has reduced traffic jams in Kigali.

Editor,

I concur with Mary T.

I have visited many countries in Africa and many are not as clean or orderly as Kigali. Other African cities ought to borrow a leaf from the Kigali city authorities.

Those who have visited Kigali will agree that the city is a model, especially in terms of cleanliness and like mayor Broh said, the city should be a learning centre of excellence for all African countries.
