Allow me an opportunity through your newspaper to urge all Rwandans to support the remaining four artists in the ongoing Primus Guma Guma Super Star competition as it nears the end.
Four of our local stars Tom Close, Dream Boys, King James and J Polly remain in the race. They all need our support and votes, so as to walk away with the top prize. All we need to do is vote and vote by texting their respective numbers.
This is a great opportunity to support our growing music industry as the boys and girls continue to become more creative and innovative.
While the organisation of the show has had its shortcomings, the initiative itself is very welcome. BRALIRWA should be commended for this. Next time, we hope there is an independent panel of judges to complement the SMS voting.
This is because some of the artistes who were eliminated feel they were judged unfairly on the SMS votes received rather than their music talent.
The gender issue should also be put in consideration to allow female artistes a chance to compete favourably with their male counterparts.
