"It’s unbelievable. We had been together before he departed for his uncle’s burial. We are really shocked to lose such a friend and campus mate,” Stephen Gasore, a friend and fellow student, said.

The University guild president, Paul Kalisa told The New Times that the student community viewed Kamanzi’s body to bid their last farewell.

"It’s a tragedy that we have lost one of our students. We send special condolences to his family and we regret such a tragic death as a student community,” he said.
