Jeggings are basically extreme skinny jeans which are styled to look like denim jeans, they look like leggings and are also worn like leggings.

They’re not new but it seems like more and more women are wearing them. Many women and girls admit that they scoffed at them when they first appeared on the scene, but now many find it hard to live without the wonderful pair.

For those who have yet to buy a pair, a jegging is essentially a legging disguised as a pair of jeans often designed with pockets and a front fly.

Jeggings have higher percentage of cotton to make them feel like durable denim, they’re way more comfortable than the skinny jeans.

The good thing about them is that they suit all kinds of body types. Jeggings come in every colour and print. If you’re just starting out, I’d recommend a solid pair in a neutral colour like black or brown.

If you’re still feeling self-conscious, try your jeggings with a minidress or a top that hits just below mid-thigh. That way, the largest part of the leg is covered!

If all else fails, I firmly believe that self confidence is really all you need to pull off this outfit, if you feel good, you’ll rock your jeggings.

Though comfortable and cute, jeggings are not pants and should not be worn as such! If you’re going to wear jeggings, make sure you’re wearing a top, skirt, or dress that covers your butt and your front! You should also avoid wearing anything that’s too tight over your jeggings for the most flattering look.

If you don’t feel comfortable in them, don’t wear them. It’s also advisable to select a dark pair that will go with everything from a simple T-shirt to a sweater dress.

If you’re on the short side, you may want to get a short pair as a regular pair of jeggings might run a little too long. Jeggings are available in some Kigali fashion stores. A pair goes for Rwf 15,000.
