I live in Kicukiro District and many residents have been provided with the nets, thus reducing malaria related cases. Malaria remains one of then worst killer diseases in Africa and other less developed countries surpassing even the deadly HIV/AIDS.

Malaria remains one of then worst killer diseases in Africa and other less developed countries surpassing even the deadly HIV/AIDS.
The latest global figures show that malaria deaths in Rwanda dropped by 70 percent between 2005 and 2010. However, the Ministry of Health should not sit on its laurels. We need to maintain the rigorous drive against the disease and aim at totally eradicating it.
Health officials should keep informing the public on the best control and preventive measures. As citizens, we need to give our health officials and other anti-malaria bodies our full support.
