Today our topic is slightly different from what we have been focusing at in the previous days. The change of our topic has been caused by what I have been told by students from different schools around the Kigali town.

I was told that in "some” schools of Kigali city both day and boarding, students do not access clean and boiled water; this has caused a number of them to suffer several infections. Why should we drink boiled water?

We should drink boiled water to protect us from typhoid, malaria, and other diseases which may come as a result of taking unboiled water.

A child who is fond of taking unboiled water can easily catch flue hence loosing water in his or her body. Drinking water should be boiled to kill all the germs which may be hiding in the water; boiled water is healthy for both children and adults.

Drinking boiled water in our homes should be a priority. Boarding and day schools that fed students or pupils during lunch and diner time should avoid giving children unboiled water.

Parents, maids and the school administrators, it is your role to provide children with clean and boiled water. Let us protect our children from diseases which may come as a result of taking unboiled water by boiling drinking water both in our homes and schools.
