I have a uniform which is 4 years old. This uniform of mine is no longer fitting me the way it used to be. When daddy had just bought it, it was again too big on me; I could not fit in it because by that time I was in P.1.

But as days passed by, I kept filling it slowly by slowly. Today I have another story. The same uniform that used to fit me well some months ago is no longer fitting me well. It seems I am growing faster than my uniform.

This uniform of mine is torn behind. It has a big hole; some of my friends at school who have seen the torn area have told me that the whole is too big.

My uniform is too torn, there’s no tailor who can sew it. I can only manage to put on this uniform if I have a sweeter to tie around my waist.

It gives me a lot of discomfort; I only have one pair and my teachers have always told me that I look indecent, when put the sweeter around my waist.

Dear teachers, I have written this to tell you that I have a big hole behind my uniform; it can’t be sewed because it is big.

I would also want to tell you that I am not the only one with this problem; I share the same issue with other children who come from the same back ground like mine (poor families).

I am the only one who has broken the silence, please help us if you can other wise, if you send us away, it will take months and months for our parents to get us new informs.

We shall be happy if you grant us new uniforms rather than sending us to our poor families. This is one of the bright toddlers who know her rights as a child.
