JABIR Mutarambirwa and Eric Serugaba have extended their stay at SC Kiyovu after signing two-year deals.
Serugaba, who captains the Green Baggies, was linked with a move to Police and Rayon Sport but the former APR midfielder decided to stay loyal to the Nyamirambo-based side.
Kiyovu coach Baptiste Kayiranga expressed his contentment after the duo’s signing and also confirmed that the club had brought in two new players in Adolphe Hakundukize (from Musanze) and Hassan Museminari from second division side Union F.C.
"I’m happy that they have committed to the club. We have also brought in a midfielder (Hakundukize) and a striker (Museminari) to boost the midfield and attack,” the former Rayon Sport coach said.
Kayiranga also hopes to renew his contract before it runs out in August.
"I have had discussions with the club management about signing a new contract and I’m hopeful that we shall come to an agreement sooner rather than later,” Kayiranga said.
Kiyovu, who will compete in next year’s Orange Confederation Cup, are also keen to extend Hussein Mbanza’s contract with the club. The Burundian defender has been heavily linked with a move to the Blues.
