Bosenibamwe promises transparency

Bosenibamwe was speaking in Musanze after his re-election as the party’s chairperson at the provincial level.

Northern Province Governor Aime Bosenibamwe was re-elected the provincial RPF chairman

MUSANZE -The newly elected chairman of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF), in the Northern Province, Aime Bosenibamwe, over the weekend, promised to promote democracy and transparency within the party.

Bosenibamwe was speaking in Musanze after his re-election as the party’s chairperson at the provincial level.

‘’I thank the RPF Congress for entrusting me with another mandate. I promise to work diligently, and pursue the principles of transparency and democracy, which govern us all within the party,’’ he said.

Bosenibamwe, who is also the provincial Governor, promised to steer the province towards achieving economic development up to the individual level.

He won with 88 percent of the votes, defeating his challenger, Winifridah Mpembyemungu, who was elected Musanze district party chairperson.

The meeting also elected Mathias Rupiya, as the Deputy Chairperson, while Emelienne Niwemwiza was elected the chairperson of the RPF women council at the provincial level.

Pascal Butunge was elected the head of good governance commission, while Déo Kabagamba, will head the economic development commission. Betty Mukagatare will lead the judicial commission while Florence Uwambajemariya will be in charge of welfare.

 "The challenge is implementing the party’s development program to reach individual persons, we shall work as a team, to keep this province at the forefront in all development programs,” the governor added.

MP Fortunée Nyiramadirida, oversaw the electoral process and commended the patriotism and commitment exhibited by the party members.

The MP said: "It was free and fair election, the new members bear the responsibility to be exemplary and lead others to realise government policies. Those elected should be prepared to start work immediately.”
