Nuhu Bihibindi is a journalist reporting for Voice of Africa-Kigali. On a daily basis, Nuhu says it’s all about looking around for what can make news except over the weekend. Below is how he spends his weekend.

My weekend starts on Friday. At around 8, I head home for a change of clothes. After, I join my colleagues to discuss and share ideas on issues related to our day-to-day activities, among others.

It is also this time that we plan for measures towards solving our challenges. On Saturday, the most important and unique things I do are going for sports as well as visiting friends or family members.

It is at this point that I really feel it’s a weekend since never during week days do I have such time.

The weekend also gives me the chance to have lunch at home. I enjoy African food especially sweet potatoes, cassava and well prepared fresh beans.

At around 5p.m, I may go for physical fitness exercises or simply go jogging for at least an hour.

On Sunday, I go for work at around 5a.m but am done by 8a.m. I then get home to prepare for what I have to do on Monday.

I spend about two hours preparing and at around 8p.m, I watch movies until when I have supper. I normally get to bed early since I have to wake up at 4a.m the following day. That makes my weekend perfect.
