Youth affected by armed conflicts bond for progress

NORTHERN PROVINCE MUSANZE — Youth who have participated in armed conflicts are attending a four-day reunion seminar to revise measures for unity, reconciliation.

Over 40 youth from the districts of Musanze and Nyabihu mobilised by Rwanda Union of Youth affected by Armed Conflicts (RUYAAC) to utilise the opportunity well and forge development by coming together.

The seminar will include former members of ex-Far, Abacengezi and former RDF. They will be sensitised on integration, unity and forming productive cooperatives.

President of the association Manasseh Bizimana said that youth who had participated in armed conflicts still bear the consequences and should unite "in order to get over what they could have faced.” 

The four-day training will tackle the meaning, underlying causes of conflicts and the consequences they have had especially in deterring development of the country . The Rwanda Union of Youth was founded in 2003, with a major aim of uniting all the youth. EndsEnds
