Editor,
Allow me to congratulate all Rwandans on the 17th Anniversary of Liberation celebrated on Monday July 4. What we have achieved in the last 17 years is worth protecting—by sweat or blood, if the need arises because as a country, we know where we are coming from and where we are going.
Of late, a lot has been said about our country, some critics have been on the loose while some elements want to see our country descend into chaos again.
As Rwandans who have strived hard in the last 17 years and sacrificed everything to see change happen, we cannot sit back and let anyone distract us. We will protect our achievements and continue doing more.
Like it is always said, actions speak louder. If we do more and achieve more, our enemies will be short of words because evidence will be there for everyone to see. Instead of wasting our time, let’s focus more on what we can do and let’s continue building on what we have already achieved.
Rwanda has come a long way and we are not about to relax.
