This letter is with reference to your article in yesterday’s issue of The New Times titled : " Bata to open three stores in Kigali. "

I wish to congratulate Nasir Rafiq, Bata’s Managing Director and Agnes Murila, Retail Sales Manager - Rwanda for this great initiative in launching the stores in the beautiful and clean city of Kigali.

Bata has been a household name in India since the last century and their decision to enter the Rwandan market endorses the fact this great nation is now wide open for business and investments. For sure, Bata will find Rwanda a great country to do business in, having the presence of a pro-active and very helpful Rwanda Development Board to assist them all the time.

Wishing Bata every success in their foray into Rwanda - the land of a thousand hills and a million smiles.
