Renowned record label, Country Records, has signed new producers replacing Element who left the music house earlier this year.
According to Noopja, founder and Managing Director of the record label, Kiiz, Real Beat, Pakkage and Kozze are the new in-house producers of Country Records.
This comes after the record label, one of the biggest music studios in Rwanda faced big challenges including the passing of Kinyoni, former lyricist of the studio, and producer Element’s exit from the label.
Speaking to The New Times, Noopja said that signing new producers in his record label is in line with the studio’s goal of taking Rwandan music industry places among many other projects the music house has in store this year.
"I have signed a big team of talented youngsters who are going to keep supporting the local creative industry and take Rwandan music to greater heights. We are coming bigger this year,” Noopja said.
The development, he added, is also in line with the studio’s recovery after losing two of its biggest names.
Kozze, who is among the new producers signed under Country Records, is already making hits such as ‘Umuana’ and ‘Amayoga’ by Kevin Kade.
Other producers like Kiiz are also making big Afrobeats tunes in the local music industry.
Country Records remains one of the best studios and record labels to ever exist in Rwanda given how it raised stars and pushed Rwandan music into the international arena.
