As we prepare to celebrate the Liberation Day on July, 4, I wish to state that the blood of our brothers and sisters who died during the liberation struggle was not shed in vain.

Over the last 17 years, a lot has been achieved and Rwanda has become one of the best governed countries not only in the region, but in the entire African continent.

The government has been able to unite all Rwandans.Let us work together as Rwandans and consolidate what we have achieved thus far.

The self seeking elements who want to take us back to the old dark days must be resisted and fought by all Rwandans.

I wish to thank the government under President Paul Kagame for restoring our dignity.
