GISOZI - Kibagabaga Hospital members of staff yesterday paid tribute to Genocide victims laid to rest at Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre to mark the 17th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
During the tour of the memorial, the staff were reminded of the country’s dark history and urged to play roles to ensure that such atrocities do not happen again.
"We decided to come here to teach or remind our workers about our history,” Dr Christian Ntizimira, the hospital’s director said.
He added that the hospital planned to visit Genocide widows in Kigali after the commemoration period.
"We have more than material and financial support to offer.”
The hospital administration works with a group of American doctors, who will conduct needed surgeries on the widows in August this year.
