Macmillan Rwanda has boosted Kigali City Council (KCC)’s children reading promotion campaign with an offer of over three hundred books.
Macmillan Director Arthur Mugunga handed over the books to KCC officials at their stall in the ongoing 2007 expo at Gikondo Expo Grounds on Monday.
KCC vice-mayor in charge of socials affairs, Jeanne d’Arc Gakuba lauded Macmillan for donation to the programme, ‘100 Children Reading 100 Books in 100 Days.’
The books are in Kinyarwanda, English and French.
On Tuesday, the city mayor, Dr Aisa Kirabo Kacyira, presided over the distribution of the books to Green Hills Academy, Kicukiro Primary School and ESSA Mwendo Primary School.Ends
