Editor,
This letter is with reference to the very interesting article in yesterday’s issue of The NewTimes entitled "Kagame among top world Twitter users.”
The hallmark of a great leader lies, in his or her ability to communicate effectively with people.
The very fact that President Paul Kagame has been featured by the influential global magazine, ‘ Foreign Policy ‘ among the 2011 top influential users of Twitter, clearly indicates that he is blessed with a great gift of effective communication.
He has more than 17,000 followers on his Twitter page and this further endorses the fact that President Kagame is one of the most accessible leaders in the world.
Whether it is a business delegation from the U.K., an investor delegation from India or even just a group of young students from a neighbouring EAC country or from far away Canada, President Kagame takes time out of his very busy schedule to meet and interact with these groups, whenever possible.
The President shares with the visiting delegations the unbelieveable, yet true story of the New Rwanda.
I wish President Kagame continued success during his second term as leader of this wonderful nation - Rwanda, a country of great natural beauty.
But, more importantly, a country of extremely warm and friendly people. And, most importantly, a country which I have grown to love dearly after having visited Kigali to attend the first East African Investment Conference in June 2008.
