Editor,
To echo what the British High Commissioner, Benedict Llewellyn Jones said over the weekend, allow me to add my voice to commend the efforts by Rwandan peacekeepers in western Sudan’s conflict torn region of Darfur and the government for the great work they have done in helping the people of Sudan live in peace.
Rwandans have had a turbulent history and it is very encouraging to see that the current government is doing whatever possible to prevent any possible catastrophe ever happening again in Africa.
Southern Sudan has already missed great investment opportunities because of the prolonged civil war that has claimed many innocent lives. It is our duty as Africans to help Sudan realise total peace.
I wish other players in Darfur would borrow a leaf from RDF by exhibiting discipline. Of the course, the discipline displayed in Darfur is attributed to the good leadership of President Paul Kagame.
