ESPERANCE and Aspor have one foot in the second division play-off semi-finals after winning their respective first leg ties over the weekend.

Esperance thumped Pepiniere 4-1 at Ferwafa while Aspor battled their way to a 1-0 win over Nyanza.

The other ties are still wide open following goalless draws between Sorwathe and Sec Academy; and Stella Maris and Espoir.

The return leg ties will be played tomorrow, while the semi-finals are scheduled for Sunday.

The winner between Esperance and Pepiniere will play Nyanza or Aspor, while the winner between Sorwathe and Sec Academy takes on either Stella Maris or Espoir.
