RWANDA will for first time host a social event dubbed ‘Beautiful People’ to be held on June 24 at Manor Hotel in Kigali.
Beautiful People, is theme night aimed at bringing together East Africans to develop traits and abilities through interaction.
The theme was initiated by Ugandan music promoter, Reno Kabachelor. It was launched, officially on June 8, at Cayenne Bar & Restaurant in Kampala, Uganda.
Kabachelor told The New Times, that Beautiful People is an annual theme night, to be held in all East African member state to bond East Africans.
"We are targeting people of all walks of life and influential people who can make a change in society,” he said.
Kabachelor said the event is not only about entertainment. Each year, Beautiful People will introduce unique themes, such as Home visits and charity activities to support the needy.
He noted that the East African countries, namely Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Burundi, focus on issues concerning politics, economy and educational systems but ignore the social element which is equally vital.
The event shall also, among others, encourage East Africans to strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and help each other within the communities.
Meanwhile, Beautiful People will be held in Tanzania next year.
