Akagera to start training

Akagera Motors, a leading Toyota cars importer in Rwanda is set to start a motor mechanics training centre in Kigali.The move is to position the company as a leading Toyota cars supplier and service the fleet in the emerging market in the Great Lakes Region.

Akagera Motors, a leading Toyota cars importer in Rwanda is set to start a motor mechanics training centre in Kigali.The move is to position the company as a leading Toyota cars supplier and service the fleet in the emerging market in the Great Lakes Region.

Started in 1997, the centre is slated to open next year. The Director General Akagera Motors Symphorien Kamanzi said:  ‘‘We bought 2 hectares of land in Kicukiro.

 (Where) we plan to construct a big Mall, that will include offices, a showroom and training centre.’’

The centre will also serve Toyata clients in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Uganda and Southern Sudan.Emmanuel Musoni said they import RAV4, Prados, Pickups, min buses among other types of Toyota brands.

He said through leasing, the company helps low income earners to buy Toyota vehicles.

The car importers have arrangements with Fina Bank and Rwanda Commercial Bank.Ends
