Relegation threatened Mukura will be hoping to end their season on a fairly tale by defeating Police this afternoon at Amahoro stadium and qualify for the final of the Peace cup.
The Southern Province club is at the foot of the Primus League with two league games to go but coach Geodfrey Okoko is optimistic that the club can turn around their fortunes.
"This is a great club with a magnificent history, so it would be great if we avoided relegation and reached the finals of the Peace cup,” noted the Ugandan coach.
Mukula will meet stiff resistance in Police, who are third in the Primus League and also possess the league’s top scorer Meddie Kagere.
The second semifinal pits league champions and cup holders APR against AS Kigali. The match promises to be an entertaining affair because of the attacking nature of both teams.
The military side has already wrapped up the league title and is now eyeing two more trophies, Peace cup and Cecafa triumph to complete a treble.
The winners of both ties will meet in the final on Saturday 18.
