Joseph Mako Nikoswa is one of the renowned musicians not only in Rwanda but across borders.

Below is how he spends his weekend:
My weekend starts on Saturday at around 12p.m. I meet friends including fellow musicians and some fans.

Depending on the program, we decide on where to spend the evening. However, most of the time when I do not have any performance, I spend it out of Kigali.

I may either go to Black and White in Nyamata to enjoy the live music or Gisenyi. I love Gisenyi because of the water body that makes the place cool and beautiful.

The fact that I get to bed very late on Saturday, I wake at around 10am. On Sunday, I may visit some people or attend to visitors at home.

It is also that day that I get down to flash back and find out my achievements the previous week as I plan for the next.

Over the weekend, I love eating African food especially matooke, cassava and sweet potatoes.

At around 4p.m, I go out for football and some physical fitness exercises until 6. I then get home to cool down before joining colleagues for a drink.

I can have it from anywhere provided it’s a nice place. I am out until 9p.m. When I get home, I have supper and get to bed at around 11.
