Mukul Enterprises, an Indian manufacturing company has picked interest in the Rwandan.

The firm plans to open a distribution centre for their agricultural equipment in Kigali. Kigali will be used as regional centre for their oridcuts.

"We shall first import these equipments but as we grow in future we shall look at the other alternative of setting up a production unit here in Kigali,” the chief executive of the firm S.K. Jain said.

In future, management plans to construct a production plant to produce equipment for the growing Great Lakes Region market.

The firm is one of the leading manufacturers of food processing equipment, small tractors, solar battery heaters and wind energy equipment.

Besides, they also deal in jewelry, milling machines and cattle feed plants.

Jain said: "We are in talks with a likely partner.”  Adding: "As soon as the memorandum of understanding is signed, we shall start.”

But Jain said, the business partner must have space for construction of a store and must be capable and willing to invest, at list $20,000.

Mukul plans to spend over $0.5m in the Rwandan market. Meaning that the company will pump in 96 per cent while the partner only 4 per cent of the investment. Ends
