Editor,
I wish to commend the government of India for training twenty three Rwandan students, who on Friday completed a two-week industrial attachment at Infosys Limited, the second largest information technology company in India.
The fact that this was the first internship organised by the company for African students speaks volumes about our country’s ambitions and priorities.
Firstly, it means that Rwanda’s relationship with India is cordial. Like Rwanda’s High Commissioner in India, Williams Nkurunziza rightly put it, Rwandans are proud that their students were given the opportunity to learn essential job skills and get industry exposure from this world class IT training centre.
