Classic Gladiators U18 0-3 Junior Wasps
DESPITE yesterday’s 3-0 victory over Classic Gladiators, Junior Wasps coach Richard Tardy has challenged the boys to keep their eyes on the grand prize (Fifa U-17 World Cup) which kicks off next Saturday.
Tardy was not pleased with the perfomance insisting that there was no flow.
"We didn’t maintain our usual flow and we can’t afford to do that in the World Cup because we shall be punished,” he stressed.
Andrew Buteera, Sulaiman Kakira and Innocent Mugabo were on target. Buteera opened the scoring on the 21st minute.
After the break Kakira, who came on for Justin Mico doubled Rwanda’s lead and with 20 minutes to go, Mugabo scored a third.
On Thursday, the team take on N M Rush Nike Argonauts U-17 in their final friendly. They beat Rio Vista U19 3-1 in the first friendly.
Rwanda is drawn in Group C and opens her campaign on June 19 against England before playing Uruguay and Canada.
