RAMA staff honour Genocide victims

NGORORERO - Members of staff of the Rwanda Health Insurance Scheme (RAMA), Friday donated Rwf 5 million to Muhororo Genocide memorial site . They were led by Dr. Innocent Gakwaya, RAMA Director General, who honoured genocide victims and laid wreaths on the burial site of over 23,000 victims.

NGORORERO - Members of staff of the Rwanda Health Insurance Scheme (RAMA), Friday donated Rwf 5 million to Muhororo Genocide memorial site .

They were led by Dr. Innocent Gakwaya, RAMA Director General, who honoured genocide victims and laid wreaths on the burial site of over 23,000 victims.

Gakwaya said that there is need to support such initiatives and the donation is meant to support survivors and contribute to the completion of the Muhororo site.
"Once the site is completed, this will give due respect to Genocide victims, restore dignity to the Rwandan community and give solace to survivors.” 

The site is due to be completed in the next one month and at least Rwf 10 million is needed for the activities.

Officials of umbrella organization of survivors associations (Ibuka) in Ngororero, hailed RAMA staff for picking interest in knowing how Genocide took place in the area and supporting survivors.
