I wish to commend the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) and the Police for impounding six vehicles that entered Rwanda, via the Rusumo border post, destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The racket is rampant in the region and can end only if we provide our full support to police and RRA. It is not only vehicles that are smuggled.

The Rwanda Bureau of Standards has in the past impounded smuggled products from neighbouring countries.

Worse still, some of the products are expired. The fight against smuggling is a community responsibility to supplement the RRA or police.
