A local fashion firm, Premier Model Agency (PMA) will organise a charity fashion show to support orphans of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi studying at the Kabuga-based College de l'Espoir de Gasogi.

Jean Claude Ndayishimiye, the founder and CEO of the fashion firm told The New Times that the event is dedicated to raising awareness for peace as well as support for the orphans.

"Every year, we organise social activities and charity events to give back to the community,” Ndayishimiye explained.

During the event, models will catwalk as artistes entertain the students.

Ndayishimiye noted that they will also encourage people to always sensitise fellow Rwandans on speaking the truth about what happened during the Genocide.

"At the event, we shall collect funds to help these orphans both at school and in their daily lives. So, we encourage everyone to participate in this helpful act,” he added. 

Founded in 2009, Premier Model Agency consists of 25 models and supports an orphanage known as Imena Family.

"We plan to expand our fashion shows across the region and in July, we shall hold a show in Burundi,” Ndayishimiye revealed.
